Nigeriens begin voter registration in Nigeria ahead Feb 21 presidential poll

The voter registration exercise, which commenced on Sunday, February 7, would be rounded off on Wednesday February 10.

Citizens of Niger Republic, based in Nigeria, have commenced voter registration ahead of the country's presidential election scheduled for February 21, 2016.

The. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the voter registration exercise, which commenced on Sunday, February 7, would be rounded off on Wednesday February 10.

According to the Nigeriens' leaders in Nigeria, the voter registration will provide opportunity for all their citizens in disapora to cast their votes on election day in Nigeria.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the exercise began in Kaduna, Secretary General of Nigeriens residing in Nigeria, Sidil-Ghabit Ahmed, said that 18 registration centres had been opened across Nigeria for the exercise.
