Deep underground water table worries Gov. Dankwambo

The University is about research; to find out why we do not have water one kilometre below the surface of the earth in Gombe.

Gombe State incumbent Ibrahim Dankwambo

Gov Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe has said that the far distance of underground water table below the surface of the earth in the state, required thorough research for proper explanation.

The governor made this observation when the Chairman, Governing Board of Federal University, Kashere (FUK) in Gombe, Mr Gbenga Daniel, paid him a courtesy call on Wednesday in Gombe.

He said for this reason, his administration intended establishing a University of Science and Technology, to produce the needed manpower that would conduct the research.

“We are thinking of establishing a second University of Science and Technology."
