Two persons have died in a multiple crash at Ugwuonyeama on the Enugu-Onitsha road, leaving many others with various degrees of injuries.

Amaraizu said the crash, which involved four buses, a Hilux van and two cars, happened around 7.30 p.m. on Friday but that the cause had not been established.

The spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, said in a statement in Enugu on Saturday that one of the dead was burnt to ashes.
He said that men of the command were on hand to control the traffic to avert further crashes while the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
