3 police officers die in gunmen attack on police station
The attack which claimed the lives of three officers was carried out by oil thieves.

According to a report by The Cable, the attack, which happened around 8am, was confirmed by the spokesman of the state's police command, Asinim Butswat, who said three officers were killed.
The attack is suspected to have been carried out by oil thieves who have been terrorising the region.

Last week, on Monday, August 28, suspected militants also attacked soldiers and killed one soldier and a civilian staff attached to the military houseboat near Letugbene community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state.
