Service chiefs visit Aso Rock

President Buhari briefs service chiefs before embarking on vacation

Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Tukur Buratai; Chief Of Air Staff, AVM Sadique Abubakar and Chief Of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Iba were seen leaving Aso Rock at about 9.00am, Daily Trust reports.

It’s not clear if the service chiefs were in the Villa to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari has not been seen in public for a while but has supposedly been having meetings at his residence.

The president is said to have met with Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru on Tuesday, May 2.

Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele also met with Buhari on Thursday, May 4.

The president’s absence from three Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings and other public events seems to lend credence to reports that his health has deteriorated.

However, First Lady, Aisha Buhari says that her husband’s health is not as bad as it’s being painted.
