Meanwhile, the Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the DSS to release Ubah within 48 hours.

This judgment was given by Justice Mohammed Idris, also on Thursday.

Ubah was arrested by the DSS on May 5 for allegedly diverting about 80 million litres of petrol which is worth N11 billion.

The DSS accused Ubah of planning to cause artificial scarcity of petrol and said he committed the offence of economic sabotage which is punishable by death.
