Mendie said that women were in a better position to talk to their husbands and children against bad road habits.

Federal Road Safety Corps

The Sector Command of the commission in the state, Mr David Mendie, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Saturday.

``With this August meeting, we will further our ongoing sensitization against bad road habits.

``We will go to where they meet and give them regular sensitization as we use to.

``We have planned to carry it out widely; it is not just in Enugu command alone, we carry out in our unit commands.

``We are blessed with five unit commands within the state, ranging from Nsukka to Obollo Afor; we have one at Ndi Abor, 9th Mile and also at Ozalla,’’ he said.

The commander said that the women would be enlightened and made to teach their children using the road as drivers or pedestrians on the proper way to behave while on the road.

He said that the commission would attempt to cover all women meetings in rural communities in the state by ensuring that every community ``is touched with the FRSC gospel of safety.'’
