Ekiti Governor says he does not need DSS, police protection anymore

The Governor also accused the security operatives of working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Governor said this on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, during the International Women’s Day celebration which held at Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti.

He had earlier declared a public holiday to enable women come out and celebrate with him.

According to Daily Post, Fayose said he does not need DSS or police to protect him anymore.

He also boasted saying that anyone who wants to topple his government will not succeed.

Fayose said “Anybody moving against my government will be removed; anybody that wants to topple me will not finish their government.

“Tell them, I don’t need their policemen, I don’t need their SSS. Let them come and remove their policemen and SSS. I don’t want APC police, I don’t want APC SSS, these people are my police.”

Fayose had earlier warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against any form of rigging during the upcoming Ekiti governorship election in 2018.
