Sierra Leone is set to begin a 3-day lockdown in a bid to curtail the spread of the Ebola virus in the country.

BBC reports that volunteers will go door-to-door, looking for people with signs of the disease and reminding others how to stay safe.

Sierra Leone still have scores of new cases being reported every week even as the 3 worst hit Ebola countries - Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea, have set a target of having no new cases by the middle of next month.

Ebola has claimed more than 10,000 lives since the beginning of the outbreak.
