This was the topic of discussion during a meeting between the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danjuma Sheni and the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Harry Purwanto on Monday, March 9.
Nigeria is seeking to convert the death sentences of some its citizens especially 45-year-old Jamiu Owolabi Abashin aka Raheem Agbaje Salami, who is set to be executed soon.
Other Nigerians on death row in Indonesia include Okwudili Ayontanze, a gospel singer and Silvester Obiekwe, who is allegedly still running a drug syndicate from prison.
