Freed schoolgirls arrive Maiduguri en-route Damaturu

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalled that 104 of the 110 abducted students of the Government Girls Secondary Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi, were released by Boko-Haram  insurgents  on March 21.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalled that 104 of the 110 abducted students of the Government Girls Secondary Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi, were released by Boko-Haram  insurgents  on March 21.

The freed girls, brought in a military aircraft, landed at about 10.00 a.m. at the 105 Nigeria Air Force Composite Command, Maiduguri.

NAN reports that the girls, accompanied by top government officials and representatives of the parents, left Maiduguri in convey of buses to Damaturu, where they were expected to be formally handed over to their families.

One of the parents, Aliyu Maismabu, expressed joy over the development.
