A female suicide bomber has killed many people in an early morning attack in Maiduguri on Friday, July 31, 2015, emerging reports say.

The explosion occurred at the Gamboru wholesale vegetable market in the Borno State capital, according to AP.

A trader Bukar Shettima said that the explosion lifted him off his feet and threw him to the ground.

“Thank God I was not too close," he said. "But I saw nauseating corpses and battered bodies of humans littering the ground,” he said.
