Soldiers kill 15 terrorists in Biu

The terrorists, believed to be citizens of Chad, were killed during a battle with troops in Biu, Borno State.

15 members of Boko Haram have been killed by soldiers in Biu, Borno State, according to reports.

The terrorists, believed to be citizens of Chad, were killed during a battle with troops.

The insurgents launched an attack on the community today, January 14, but were repelled by the soldiers.

A resident of Biu told Sahara Reporters that he counted 15 corpses in front of the military barracks while 7 of the insurgents were reportedly captured by security officials.

The victory over Boko Haram was confirmed by the Nigerian Defence Headquarters on Twitter.

“Terrorist attack repelled by the Military in #BIU, Borno State. Two Anti-Aircraft Guns have been captured from the Terrorists,” the DHQ said.
