Army destroys N60M fish seized from terrorists

The seized items were shown to journalists by the Spokesperson of the Division, Tukur Gusau on Friday, September 4, 2015, in Maiduguri.

 

The 7 Division of the Nigerian Army has reportedly destroyed about 2,000 cartons of dried fish which were seized from Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State.

The fish, believed to be worth N60 million, was recovered from the terrorists along with other items.

The seized items were shown to journalists by the Spokesperson of the Division, Tukur Gusau on Friday, September 4, 2015, in Maiduguri.

According to Channels TV, Colonel Gusau said that the terrorists had taken up robbery and cattle rustling and were also engaged in commerce in a bid to fund their activities.

Meanwhile, the Army has vowed to end the insurgency within the three-month deadline given by President Muhammadu Buhari.
