58 terrorists arrested in Cameroon

The Boko Haram members were arrested last week after a successful military search operation which was made possible with the assistance of the Cameroonian police.

58 members of terrorist sect, Boko Haram have reportedly been arrested by Cameroonian troops.

The insurgents were arrested last week after a successful military search operation which was made possible with the assistance of the country’s police.

The army also seized a large cache of weapons from the terrorists including fifty assault weapons, 1 rocket launcher and hundreds of ammunition rounds.

According to Cameroon Web, a source said:

"They were immediately led forcibly to the gendarmerie station in the Far North. We must recognize that this operation was made possible through collaboration between forces of the National Gendarmerie Battalion and those of Early Intervention (BIR)."

The Cameroonian army also reportedly seized a sum of 7,000,000 F (N2,306,082.38) from the terrorists.
