Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola has been awarded an honorary doctorate by Babcock University.

Fashola received an award of Honoris Causa on Thursday, June 4, 2015, during the University's Post Graduate convocation ceremony which held at its campus in Ogun State.
According to the university, the former governor received the award due to his visionary leadership in innovatively attracting foreign investment to Lagos state among others.
Former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso was also honoured by the university.
