EFCC says ex-CDS used N1.4b Airforce money to buy mansion

The anti-graft agency had earlier accused Badeh of stealingN3.9 billion from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF)between January and December 2013.

The ex-CDS was slammed with a 10 count charge, and was supposed to appear before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Thursday, March 3, 2016.

Badeh’s trial was however postponed to March 7, 2016.

The family of the ex-military chief also called on the EFCC to release him based on personal recognition, so he can receive proper medical attention.

There are reports that he recently had surgery on his spine and was also suffering from a kidney condition.

The EFCC also linked Alex Badeh to a N4.4 billion fraud in the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), which is currently being investigated.

The ex-CDS has however undefinedsaying funds for weapons were directly released to the Chief of Air staff, Army staff and Naval staff and not to him.
