Applications for Young Fashion Designer are open

The 2014 LVMH saw Maki Oh and Orange Culture making the top 30 from thousands of applicants worldwide, its 2015 and applications are invited for the 2015 edition, check on application details

The prestigious LVMH  (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) Prize that saw the duo of Nigerian fashion brands; Maki Oh and Orange Culture making top 30 last year at the competition is back for 2015.

Young fashion designer/young fashion brand who meet the following criteria are invited to apply :

You are older than 18 and under 40

You have produced at least two collections

Your collections are menswear or womenswear (not accessories)

The application form takes approximately 30 minutes to fill, read the information needed below to get prepared :

A photo of yourself

6 photos of models from each of your last two collections

A selection of press articles (press review)

Information on your company.

There will be a three-step selection process to reveal the winning young fashion designer.

Step 1: The LVMH Prize committee establishes a short list of candidates.

Step 2: The international committee of experts (comprising journalists, stylists and buyers) selects the finalists.

Step 3: The jury, whose members are Creative Directors of the Group – J.W. Anderson, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Humberto Leon & Carol Lim, Phoebe Philo, Raf Simons, Ricardo Tisci – and Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie, advisor to Bernard Arnault, and Pierre-Yves Roussel, Chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group chooses the winner of the LVMH Prize in May, 2015.

LVMH will provide the winner with the resources needed to pursue their creative work:

A grant of 300,000 euros, Personalized technical and financial support from the Group for a 12-month period following the LVMH Prize award. This support covers all the areas of expertise that are critical to a young fashion brand (intellectual property, sourcing, production and distribution, image and advertising, marketing, etc.).
