Marvel's superheroes assemble in 1st official trailer

The war for New York is here as Iron Fist, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage assemble in the first official trailer for "The Defenders."

In the teaser, the four lead characters in "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist" assemble for a war in New York.

"The Defenders" is set a few months after the events of the second season of "Daredevil," and will see the vigilantes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team-up in New York City to fight a common enemy, The Hand.

The upcoming series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist.

It also features Imone Missick as Misty Knight and Elodie Young as Elektra Natchios.

All episodes of the series will stream on Netflix on August 18, 2017.
