Watch season 9 opening gala

On Sunday's episode of Project Fame season 9, the search for the next set of music stars kicked off with 14 contestants received into the academy.

After some hilarious and entertaining moments from the Lagos, Port Harcourt, auditions, the search for the next set of music diamonds in the rough that will be polished to stardom has begun.

ALSO: undefinedIn 2015, Jeff Akohwon the eighth season of the TV show, Pearl Olanma Awa-Agwu secured a second spot, while Anderson Emmanuel Amos took the third spot. Adanoritsewo “Ada” Gold Tosanwum finished in the fourth spot.

Bolanle Olukanni and Joseph Benjamin return as hosts. They were not the only ones who made returned to the stage. 2015 winner, Akoh, also performed at the opening gala.
