Netflix renews show for season 2

"Luke Cage" TV series which is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, will return for season 2.

 

Marvel took to Twitter to announce that the American television series based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, will return for a second season.

"Luke Cage" stars Mike Colter as Luke Cage, a former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who now fights crime. When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must soon confront his past and fight a battle for the heart of his city.

"Luke Cage" also stars Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Frank Whaley, and Sônia Braga.

Colter played the character in the first season of "Jessica Jones,"and will reprise his role in "The Defenders" which is scheduled to air in 2017.

"Luke Cage" premiered on September 28, 2016 with the full series of 13 episode released on Netflix on September 30.
