The pop singer who just rounded off her role as judge on reality TV show, American Idol, is set to return to small screen TV with her dance series set to air on NBC as it teams up with her Nuyorican Productions for World of Dance, which would feature 10 episodes.

J.Lo is yet to confirm if she would be in front or behind the cameras on this one, but she is definitely excited about her new project.

In a statement released today, July 19, Lopez said:

"This will be a fierce talent-heavy dance competition that embraces the raw emotion and excitement that dance represents.

"I am excited to work with World of Dance, an organization that has had an immeasurable impact on the dance community, to give all dancers an enormous platform where their dreams can be realized."

A round of auditions would be followed by dance groups going against each other in a series of duels as they battle for the $1 million prize. Casting for the competition has already begun.

Emmy Award-winning choreography team, Nappytabs, comprised of Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo have joined in, adding expertise to the competition as the pair only recently choreographed J.Lo's Las Vegas residency show, "All I Have," and have worked with Madonna.

President of Universal Television Alternative Studios, Meredith Ahr, said:

"Dance rivals any sport for its ability to produce world-class athletes and powerful performances that entertain, inspire and unite people from all walks of life.

"The unmatched credibility that the World of Dance organization has achieved so quickly speaks to the high standard they have set for their community, which is based on authentic expression, diversity and innovation. Those core values, paired with one of dance's greatest success stories and role models, Jennifer Lopez, are sure to give viewers a front row seat as dance is taken to the next level."

Lopez who has vowed to be the busiest mum in 2016 is staying through to her words, as she moves from one conquest to another.
