Filmmaker sued by actress who claims he raped her

An actress is suing Harvey Weinstein, claims he masturbated in front of her and raped her in 2016.

The unnamed actress listed as Jane Doe has filed a lawsuit, claiming that Weinstein masturbated in front of her in 2015 and raped her in 2016 at a hotel in Beverly Hills.

According to the actress, she met Weinstein in 2011, after which he arranged a meeting at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills in 2015 to talk about a role on “Marco Polo.”

At some point, Weinstein asked if he could masturbate in front of her, an offer she says she declined. Following her refusal, the actress says Weinstein grabbed her wrist with one hand while masturbating with his other hand until he was done.

In 2016, the suit states that Weinstein contacted her, giving her the impression that she had been cast in “Marco Polo," and invited her to the same hotel to celebrate.

During their meeting, she claims that Weinstein dragged her into the bedroom and “used his massive weight and strength to force himself on her,” and raped her.

After he pulled out, he held her down while masturbating with the other hand.

“Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein,” a representative for the disgraced Hollywood producer said n a statement.

“Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances. Mr. Weinstein obviously can’t speak to anonymous allegations, but with respect to any women who have made allegations on the record, Mr. Weinstein believes that all of these relationships were consensual.”

The anonymous actress is suing for sexual battery, assault, and negligence, and seeks compensatory and punitive damages.

Following the recent revelations of sexual harassment by the Media Mogul of actresses such as Angelina Jolie, Lupita Nyong'o and Kate Beckinsale, this is the third civil lawsuit filed against him.
