The upcoming film stars Smith as Nigerian-born, Bennet Omalu, who discovered Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) in the brains of two NFL players, which later led them both to suicide.
Directed and written by Peter Landesman, the upcoming film is based on the 2009 GQ article 'Game Brain' by Jeanne Marie Laskas.
'Concussion' stars Will Smith, Albert Brooks, Alec Baldwin, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Paul Reiser and Luke Wilson.

The film is scheduled for a December 25, 2015 opening.
