Netflix announced the sequel with a video of orcs auditioning for the sequel.
Will Smith and Joel Edgerton are expected to reprise their roles, while David Ayer will return as the director.
"Bright" is a 2017 American Urban Fantasy Action Crime film directed by Ayer and written by Max Landis. The film was released on Netflix on December 22, 2017, also stars Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramirez and Ike Barinholtz.
"Bright" tells the story of a Los Angeles Police Department police officer who teams up with an Orc rookie police officer in a world of both human and mythical creatures.
Netflix officially picked up the film for a $90 million deal, making it the most expensive Netflix film to date.
The movie has received negative reviews from critics, who criticized the writing and cinematography. However, the movie has received positive reviews from viewers on social media.
And according to Nielsen ratings, about 11 million American viewers streamed the movie within the first three days of its release.
There's a conspiracy theory that certain powers that be are influencing the reviews to ensure that Bright fails, as they feel threatened that the success of streaming movies could kill the cinema culture.
