The " The Long Walk To Freedom" actor, Idris Elba is currently working on the film adaptation of the novel " The Beast Of The Nation" written by Nigeria's Uzodinma Iweala.

The novel which got it's title from the 1989 album of the same name by Fela Kuti, the novel is said to be explict, complex, a confrontational, first-person narrative. According to 'Guardian', it is " A NOVEL SO GRIPPING....IT'S HARD TO PUT DOWN".
The movie which is being shot in Ghana, tells the story of Agu, a young lad who is forced to join mercenary fighters when his village gets caught up in the civil war. Despite all the hardship, pain and loss of family, he eventually becomes the Commander.
Idris also gets to act as the producer of the movie alongside Daniela Taplin Lunderberg and Riva Marker, the movie is being directed by Cary Fukunaga.
Seems like another blockbuster film adaptation and YES!! we are excited about it.
