Our woman crush this Wednesday is the sultry singer, Waje Iruobe!

Just like her name, W.A.J.E (an acronym for “Words aren’t just enough”), we just cant describe her vivaciousness and celestial voice.

Described as having a vocal range covering three octaves, Waje can hit high notes, stretching them as long as you could hold your breath for.

A native of Edo state, she has since gone on to become one of the leading female songwriter and singer in the country.

The University of Nigeria graduate has since waxed stronger and has won several awards over the past couple of years including Best Female Vocalist NEA 2011, Headies 2011, Best Reggae/ Dance hall, Headies 2013 amongst others.

Waje is also known as the messenger of love. With a voice that evokes emotions and heart rendering lyrics, she really is Cupid!

Asides all this, Waje also has a deep passion for gender equality and opportunity which seeks to empower African women. She joined the One.org to launch a worldwide campaign for gender equality. Even lending her voice to their theme song.

We just can't stop crushing on the lovely songstress and activist!
