This weeks woman crush is the beautiful silver screen actress, Stella Damasus.

Stella is a household name in Nigeria thanks to her roles in best-selling home videos. She made her acting debut in 1992 in the movie "Abused", but the movie "Breaking Point" shot her into limelight.

Damasus started her career as a singer in Lagos where she used to work as a studio session singer at Klink Studios, owned by filmmaker Kingsley Ogoro.

Quick fact: Her family name was changed from Ojukwu to Damasus during the Nigeria/Biafra civil war, because they were mistaken as relatives to the late Biafran warlord, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

She was nominated for the best actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2009. She also won the award for Best Actress at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in 2007. In 2012, she won the award for Best Actress for the movie "Two Brides and a Baby" at the Golden Icons Academy Awards in Houston, Texas.
