Destiny Amaka speaks on payola

In her interview with Pulse, she spoke about the black trade of payola that goes on radio.

Destiny Amaka who was born to a Nigerian father and South American, French and African mother is one of the top on-air-personalities in Cool FM.

In her interview with Pulse, she spoke about the black trade of payola that goes on radio. According to her, she does not believe in it, and would only play good songs.

"If your music, your art, your craft, is good it will speak for itself. Let's be frank. Those who are pushing money into your hands are doing so because they don't have trust or confidence in their own sound" Destiny Amaka told Pulse TV.

She said she will not play a wack song because money is attached to it.

According to Wikipedia payola is "is the illegal practice of payment or other inducement by record companies for the broadcast of recordings on commercial radio in which the song is presented as being part of the normal day's broadcast."
