Wizkid should have claimed his son long ago

Before the accusations came out in January 2016, Wizkid should have had full control of his domestic issues.

Wizkid with his son Boluwatife

Binta Diamond Diallo remained adamant that Wizkid was indeed the father of her toddler. After months of speculations she shared the results of a DNA test yesterday (Tuesday, May 31, 2016) which stated that Wizkid is “99.99%” the father of the boy who by the way is named after him.

Wizkid has not reacted to this piece of news. And history is anything to go by it will take some time for Wizkid to publicly admit he is the father. In 2011 it was revealed that Wizkid had fathered a child with a young woman.

Just like in this scenario Wizkid denied it, severally as a matter of fact. It would take the pop star 2 years for him to admit that he had a child.

It’s kind of surprising to see that Wizkid has not learnt from his mistakes. Why didn’t he just accept his second son much earlier? If he had Binta Diamond Diallo wouldn't have claimed that he was a dead beat daddy and granted an interview to The Shade Room.

Wizkid is in a very volatile time in his career. Foreign labels are after him and the world is listening to him. One bad scandal can make it all go away. He needs to handle his personal life in terms of women a whole lot better. Would it have killed him to ensure his baby mama was okay and didn’t need to go to the press to catch his attention?

The unfortunate thing about this scenario is that the press will make a meal out of Wizkid having a second son which he has not publicly accepted. By the time he does, it might be too late after so many negative headlines.
