Fuji musician dies after brief illness

The Net reports that the Agege-based fuji artist died in his home located at Agbado, Lagos State, on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.

Awise has since been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites.

"Baba Ogbon" was made popular for his Agege Allstar album, 'New Generation' featuring other Fuji artistes such as Nurudeen Ajani, Segun Opontisun, late Sunny T Adesokan and Oyama Azeez.

The fuji maestro was also known for his album Fuji Lori Reggae on which he featured renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.
