Ghanaian celebrities have being rallying support for dancehall songstress MzVee on her BET(Black Entertainment Television) Award nomination. Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, stage name MzVee has been nominated for the BET new fan-voting category, dubbed, “Viewer’s Choice Best International,” which celebrates rising stars.Ghana’s MzVee is competing with South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest, Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo, the United Kingdom’s MIC Lowry, George the Poet and Novelist. MzVee has also been nominated for this year’s Nigeria Entertainment Award.

Celebrities including Efya, Sarkodie, Reggie Rockstone, John Dumelo, Mugeez, Joselyn Dumas, Stonebwoy, Akumaa Mama Zimbi and a host of others have been supportive, encouraging their followers to vote for MzVee.

Actress and TV host, Joselyn Dumas wrote, “Congratulations MzVee super proud of you. #IPickMzVee, let’s vote for her. Y’all bring it home".

This year’s BET Awards event is scheduled for June 27-29 in Los Angeles in the United States of America.
