The BET's Lifetime Achievement Award winner was slapped with a tax lien back in 2012for allegedly failing to pay above $1 million in income tax back in 2010, according to TMZ.
But according to new documents obtained by the site today, [11.08.14] The US tax office has officially lifted the debt and Richie is free and current.
Its likely, the "I Call It Love" hit maker probably paid off the $1 million he owed the US government in order to perhaps avoid embarrassment and keep his great reputation running smoothly.
