The reality star is receiving some serious backlash after she posed for a photo beneath a wall inscribed with former dictator Fidel Castro's name and shared it on her social media accounts on Wednesday, May 5.

"The name you're standing under is the reason why a lot of my family in Cuba is living in poverty," Twitter user Roxy Moure wrote. "Por favor edúcate."

Some users are now saying they are no longer fans of the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star. "I used to like you," commented @sfkarenmac. "Now you're just another #kardashian. That's not a compliment."

Others slammed Kardashian for being uninformed about the nation's oppression during Castro's 49-year reign.

"So messed up & disrespectful to take a pic with that background!" wrote @melibarcop. "You can tell they know nothing about history and care less about people."

Kardashian hasn't addressed the backlash yet and has continued to tweet about her trip to Cuba, which recently re-opened to American trade and tourism after a more than 50-year embargo.
