After six weeks of PDA and romantic getaways, Justin Bieber has called off his relationship with Sofia Richie.

An insider tells Us Weekly that things started to take a downturn for the couple earlier this month.

Surprisingly, their split comes days after 18-year-old Richie enthused about her “special relationship” with the 22-year-old “Sorry” singer, to Billboard magazine.

In the interview published on September 8, Sofia who is one of Lionel Richie's daughters said:

“Justin is very easy to talk to, and that’s hard to find with people in Los Angeles."

Bieber and Richie were first spotted together in Laguna beach on August 5, which quickly progressed to PDA-laden vacations in Japan and Tokyo.

Meanwhile, their romantic getaway was plastered all over social media shortly after Bieber deleted his Instagram account following a back and forth between him and ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez.

Bieber and Richie were last photographed together in L.A. on August 26.

Seeing as Gomez has reportedly cut off Bieber in a bid to preserve her sanity, we can't help but wonder if the issues with her "mental health" are giving him cause for concern and he is trying to help however he can.
