Why actress was granted bail

The actress will be travelling abroad soon for treatment of her breast cancer condition.

 

On Thursday, April 7, 2016, Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima, was granted bail in the sum of N2million by Justice Samuel Oseji of the Lagos State Court of Appeal.

Justice Samuel Oseji stated that the bail was granted to her because of her health condition.

The appellate court made the decision to release her temporarily in consideration of her breast cancer plight.

The former Actors Guild of Nigeria president was granted the N2million bail, with two sureties in like sum.

This will be second bail she has received in respect to the case.

In 2006, Fiberesima spent 93 days at the Kirikiri Prison in Lagos for running away from the scene of the accident that killed Dr. Suraj Giwa.

The actress is now set to travel out of the country to receive treatment for her breast cancer condition.
