Veteran Nollywood actor, director as well as Honourable Member of the Lagos State House of Representatives, Desmond Elliot, has partnered with Transfast, an online money transfer platform, to bring the holiday excitement to orphaned Nigerian children in Orphanages.

Through the company’s philanthropic arm, ‘TransfastCares’, which aims to donate funds to support customers, families and communities, particularly through education, youth and entrepreneurship, Elliot and Transfast are on a mission to bring Santa or Father Christmas, as we refer to him in Nigeria, as well as the Christmas spirit, to numerous Nigerian orphanages.

Hon. Desmond Elliot and his Assistant, Event Coordinator Oroma, as well as the Transfast team on Saturday the 12th of December at the Eko Hotel Sports Car, V.I Lagos, decided that handing out various gift items to children in need was the way to go.

Desmond’s lovely wife, Victoria Elliot, at first visiting three orphanages, Living Fountain Orphanage, Lagos State, Motherless Babies Home, Lekki, and Peculiar Saints Orphanage.

During the visit children received presents from Santa and donations of food items were given to the orphanages.

On the second day of the outreach, Monday, December 14, the Transfast Africa team joined forces with Victoria Elliot, Finger Licking Restaurants and a First Bank of Nigeria Executive as four more orphanages where visited, among which included: House of Gold Orphanages, Children Centre Idi-Araba, Correctional Center for Girls, Idi-Araba and Special Correctional Children’s Centre for Girls, Idi Araba.
