US Celebs react to recent mass killing in Nigeria

Boko Haram's fresh attack in the Baga Community in Nigeria is drawing the attention of top international celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Meek Mill and Solange Knowles who are either commiserating or asking questions...

International celebrities are condemning the recent Boko Haram attacks in the Baga Community in Borno State, Nigeria where 2000 people were brutally murdered early January.

Superstars like Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Solange Knowles and recently rapper Meek Mill are all throwing blames in several directions calling the attack “human horror”!

UN Ambassador Angelina Jolie said in statement, January 14, 'Each new crime committed by Boko Haram exceeds the last in brutality. This is a direct consequence of the environment of total impunity in which Boko Haram operates. Every time they get away with mass murder, rape and the enslavement of women and children, they are emboldened,'

Fresh out of jail, Meek Mill blamed international media for not paying as much attention to the terrible killings in Nigeria as they are showing to France.

He tweeted: 'They talking about Paris but not 2000 people in Africa... that's why I don't watch TV!' adding that, 'They making like its not even real!'

In his third tweet, Meek confessed the media is completely less concerned about the horrific event in Nigeria when he mentioned, 'I don't see nothing on the news about Nigeria... I don't understand that!'

Pop star Madonna joined in early Thursday writing: 'The people of Nigeria matter too. I am not just Charlie #IamNigeria #rebelheart.'

Newly wed Solange had previously tweeted: 'So completely devastated and sick to my stomach about the continued murders and attacks of now THOUSANDS of Nigerians. Gut wrenching.'

While Nicki Minaj poured out her support to the victims; love ones tweeting: “Sending love to Nigeria'.

Despite the reactions from International stars, Defense spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, claims the numbers were fabricated calling it "an exaggerated estimate". He added that not up to 150 people lost their lives due to the attack as oppose to the widely acclaimed 2,000.
