Gambian president, Yahya Jammeh has threatened to slit the the throat of gay people if found in the country.
'I'll slit your throats' - Gambian president warns gays
The president made this known while speaking on a nationwide broadcast to youths in his country about the importance of agriculture recently.

Jammeh was allegedly quoted as saying:
"If you do it [in the Gambia] I will slit your throat. If you are a man and want to marry another man in this country and we catch you, no one will ever set eyes on you again, and no white person can do anything about it,"
Gambia is very strict with its gay laws and the president has been vocal about his intolerance for the practice in the past.
