Children have surprising ideas, but the one that has recently moved internet users was invented by adults. A video recorded during a children's school competition was organised as part of aid for a local business. The children sucked and licked other students' toes, which were covered in peanut butter.

Local media reported that the controversial competition was created to support a school fundraiser for a cafe that employs people with disabilities. Students could choose from several competitions that supported a noble cause. One of them was a competition for licking peanut butter from the feet of peers.

The Department of Education also spoke and intends to investigate the matter. Internet users are also outraged, commenting extensively on the competition online. "I can't believe what happened in one of the schools. Who invented this?" reads one comment.

The scandal, which spread throughout the United States and beyond, forced the school authorities to reflect. The management and the teaching council explain that there are many harmful opinions and inaccurate information surrounding the situation.

"Through this specific game, we have failed to maintain the dignity of our students and the proud image of our community," wrote a statement published by the New York Post. The school admitted that it had made "shortcomings" during the assembly, for which it "is very sorry."
