Police in the Ashanti region have arrested five Fulani herdsmen suspected to be armed robbers.

Police sources say the robbers who were arrested at Osika Hotel near Agric Nzimaah, a suburb of Kumasi have been terrorising drivers and passengers on the Kumasi-Nkawia highway for some time now.

“Upon their arrest and brought to the charge office, many of the people who were there immediately identified them as their attackers.

“And so that gave us the strength to put them before court even before an identification parade was arranged,” Deputy Ashanti regional Police Commander, ACP Ampofo Duku confirmed the arrest to Starr News.
