Funeral plans for Emmanuel Sithole, the Mozambican whose brutal murder during the South African xenophobic attacks was captured in photos, is currently underway as his family have met with both the South African and Mozambican governments to make final arrangements.

According to Eye Witness News, Sithole’s cousin Thando says former President Nelson Mandela’s widow Graca Machel is also involved with financial arrangements to ensure Sithole’s three young children are looked after.

She also said the government would be arranging a memorial service that will take place on Wednesday, but it's unclear whether it would be in Alexandra.

Also, a funeral service will be held in Mozambique next week Saturday after the South African government repatriates Sithole’s body.
