Composite retail chain to use drones for door-to-door deliveries

The company has already acquired the drones and is only waiting for permission from the relevant authorities to put them to use.

Composite retail chain, Yudala, has announced that it aims to deploy drones to deliver good to shoppers to avoid traffic delays due to traffic jams in the country.

According to Techmoran, the company has already acquired the drones and is only waiting for permission from the relevant authorities to put them to use.

“We have acquired a few drones and working with partners in Asia to develop and deploy these Integrated Drones to avoid vehicular traffic in major cities in Nigeria. We are working to secure appropriate permits from the relevant government agencies. This will go live soon as we live up to our mandate of setting new milestones for the online retail business in the country,” said Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, Yudala’s online coordinator, while speaking to The Nation.

Yudala already has stores in Abuja, Owerri, Asaba, Warri, Port Harcourt, Ibadan and Uyo, and partnerships with firms such as HP, Apple, Lenovo, TecnoMobile, INNJOO, Infinix, X-Touch, Wiko Phones, SONY, YEZZ, DELL, Philips, ITEL, IBM, Microsoft, APC Schneider, Cisco, Canon, D-Link among others. Yudala offers both online and offline retail sales.
