Wifi.com.ng provides free internet access in Lagos, Abuja orientation camps

The service provider is delivering free internet services for the duration of the NYSC orientation program.

Corps members who are presently in the Lagos and Abuja orientation camps are enjoying free internet access thanks to the guys at wifi.com.ng and its parent company, Tizeti.

The service will be available during orientation for the first stream of NYSC Batch B members which will last from November 24, 2016, to December 14, 2016.

They will access the network, which is available throughout the day, using their state codes numbers and email addresses.

According to Tizeti’s Chief Operating Officer, Ifeanyi Okonkwo, over 500 corps members have accessed the service.

Speaking on the rationale behind the facility, he said: “We wanted to give young people who will be spending three weeks at the NYSC orientation camp an opportunity to experience wifi.com.ng’s internet services at high speed…”.

Tizeti is an Internet service provider that provides uncapped broadband internet services using Wi-fi. Their main target areas are residential apartment buildings and small businesses.

We think the team at Tizeti deserves commendation as internet access is always a major problem in NYSC camps and their initiative offers a practical solution. Hopefully, this will motivate the government and other ISPs to explore more people-friendly internet solutions in the near future.
