Senate to continue nominee screening on October 20

This was disclosed by the upper legislative chamber today, October 15 via its Twitter handle.

Senate screens ministerial nominees on October 13, 2015

The Nigerian Senate will not be screening ministerial nominees today as earlier expected.

“Ladies and gentlemen. There will be no #MinisterialScreening today. We will continue on Tuesday. We will tweet CVs of new nominees,” the Senate wrote.

The Senate had postponed plenary till today after screening 8 nominees yesterday, October 14.

The legislators have so far screened and confirmed 18 out of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 36 nominees.

Among those confirmed are former Governors, Babatunde Fashola and Kayode Fayemi.
