Unknown gunmen kills broadcaster while hunting

The celebrated On-Air Personality was found dead by a bush following a late evening hunting trip.

The incident happened on Thursday, November 23, 2017, around the Apepe farm settlement located in the community.

A source who spoke to the Daily Post News revealed that the deceased who was found dead with bullet wounds had a meeting with some friends before heading out for a late evening quest.

His failure to return to his residence at the time anticipated for his arrival caused jittery family members to raise an alarm concerning his absence. The police launched a search for Lawal but his relatives got word sooner that a lifeless body of a man was found by a bush close to the farm.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be the corpse of a 42-year-old Lawal, who was a member of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), Ekiti State chapter. He was buried at the home of his parents situated in Igbemo-Ekiti.

Mr. Wumi Ajisafe, a member of FIBAN described the deceased who is survived by his wife and three children as a man of good temperament.
