3 reasons why Nigeria is not safe from disease

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the Zika Virus outbreak a global public health emergency.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has subsequently declared the outbreak a global public health emergency.

The outbreak is currently centred in the Americas with only one African country, Cape Verde, recording cases of the disease.

However, here are three reasons why Nigeria is not safe from the Zika Virus:

The most practical step to stopping the spread of the outbreak at this time is the combatting of the Aedes aegypti mosquito and destruction of any possible breeding grounds.
