Senator threatens to sue Sahara Reporters

Oduah described the report as false and baseless saying no such account existed.

Stella Oduah

This is following a report allegedly published by the online platform that the ex-minister hid N2.5b in her housemaid’s bank account.

According to Leadership, Oduah described the report as false and baseless saying no such account existed.

She also wondered why the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has not called the housemaid for investigation.

The Senator also alleged that Sahara Reporters uses its platform to blackmail and extort money from leaders.

In April 2016, it was also alleged by Sahara Reporters that the EFCC uncovered N3.6b which was allegedly stolen by the former Minister of Aviation.

Daily Post also reported that the EFCC discovered N2.5b in a bank account belonging to the housemaid of an ex minister, whose name was withheld.
