Panel summons ex-Gov. Shema over N10bn SURE-P funds

Counsel to the commission, Mr Hassan Liman (SAN), told the commission during its last sitting that all efforts to reach Shema and former Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Lawal Jari at their residences were not successful.
The Chairman of the commission, Justice Muhammad Sirajo, ordered that the two be served through the media and by pasting the summom at their residences.
He also directed the summons to be pasted at their residences in Katsina, Dutsin-ma and Kano.

Counsel told the commission that Shema was served through his counsel Mr Uyi Ogunma on the eve of the expiration of the notice.
The chairman adjourned the matter to Thursday June 16, for hearing.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the commission was mandated to investigate missing funds and advise the government accordingly.
