Senate President’s supporters protest outside tribunal [PHOTOS]

Some supporters of Senate President, Bukola Saraki have staged a protest in front of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) in Abuja.

 

Saraki’s trial for asset declaration fraud resumed at the tribunal today, April 18, 2016.

Meanwhile, CCT Chairman, Justice Danladi Umar has said that the Senate President’s corruption trial will hold from 10am to 6pm daily until its conclusion.

“Let me state it here for both the prosecution and the defence that the trial of the defendant shall proceed on a day-to-day basis till the conclusion of this matter and it will begin from 10am to 6pm,” Umar said.

The CCT Chairman added that the court would however go on break at 1pm and 4pm.

Saraki is alleged to have committed the crime during his tenure as the governor of Kwara State.
